A custom piece offers collectors the opportunity to bring a meaningful, personalized artwork into their home—one designed specifically for their space, color palette, and aesthetic preferences. Each commission by Lisa Quinn is a thoughtful collaboration shaped by the client’s vision and the organic qualities of the materials.
Lisa works primarily with acrylic and wood, creating contemporary textured pieces that are cut, sanded, and painted entirely by hand. Guided by the natural grain and variation of the wood, each commission evolves in its own way, resulting in artwork that feels modern, grounded, and visually dynamic.
The Commission Process
1. Complimentary Consultation
Every commission begins with a courtesy call to learn more about the client’s space and vision. Clients are invited to share photos, palettes, or inspiration to help shape the direction.
2. Concept & Direction
Following the consultation, Lisa provides an overall direction based on preferred colors, textures, and forms. While commissions may be inspired by specific pieces in her portfolio or replicated in a different size, each work remains uniquely its own.
3. Timeline & Materials
Once size and scope are confirmed, Lisa provides an estimated timeline. Each piece is created using hand-cut wooden dowels and layered acrylic paint, producing depth, texture, and subtle shifts in light.
4. Progress Update
Lisa shares a single update partway through the process. Because the artwork develops organically, she does not provide step-by-step approvals, allowing the piece to unfold naturally while staying true to the agreed-upon direction.
5. Finishing & Delivery
Completed works are finished, sealed, and wired for immediate display. Local pickup is available, and domestic shipping can be arranged at the buyer’s expense; shipping costs vary by size and location. Select pieces may be eligible for local delivery.
Customization Options
- SIZE — from intimate small works to large-scale installations

- SHAPE — circular, square, rectangular, or custom dimensions
- STYLE — gradients, monochrome studies, layered textures, replicas, or nature-influenced tones
Artwork starts at $400, pricing depends on size and complexity. A 50% deposit is required to secure the project; shipping or delivery costs are not included and are the responsibility of the buyer.
